  •  How do I add funds to my trading account?

     OceanTrade allows investors to fund their accounts using a selection of safe, secure and convenient payment methods. The payment methods supported are bank wire, major credit/debit cards, as well as popular eWallets.

  •  What currencies can I hold in my trading account?

    OceanTrade trading accounts use US dollars as the base currency. You can, however, fund your account in any other currency, but it will be converted into US dollars. No exchange fees will be charged.

  • How soon can I start trading after making a deposit?

    Deposits made via credit/debit cards and eWallets reflect instantly in your trading account as soon as you make a successful deposit. You can start trading as soon as the funds reflect. When using bank transfer, it may take a few days for the funds to reflect in your account.

  • How do I request a withdrawal?

    Ensure that your account is fully verified so as to facilitate smooth withdrawals from your account. OceanTrade only processes withdrawals from verified accounts. Account verification requires the submission of a proof of identity as well as a proof of residence, and in some cases, you may be requested for other documents. The verification is only done once, and not required for subsequent withdrawal requests. It is highly recommended to verify your account as soon as possible to avoid withdrawal delays. Verified account holders just need to fill out a withdrawal request form available in their account members’ area.

  • How long is the withdrawal process?

    All withdrawal requests are processed within 24 hours. Thereafter, the funds will reflect on your end depending on the payment method you used to request the funds. Please confirm with your payment provider to get definitive timelines. Note that wire transfers can take up to 5 business days to reflect in your bank account.

  • Are my funds safe and secure?

    OceanTrade applies the highest security and encryption technologies throughout our site and platform. We also hold all client funds in segregated accounts with top banks, separate from our working capital and operational funds. Furthermore, all our customers are automatically signed up to a dedicated investor compensation fund that will provide compensation in the unlikely event that our company becomes insolvent.

  • How do I open a live trading account?

    Simply click on ‘Open Account’ on our homepage and fill out the registration form. After confirming your email address, you can fund your account and immediately start trading.

  • Can I open multiple accounts?

    Yes, simply contact your personal account manager and they will assist you in creating additional accounts.

  • Can I trade on my mobile device?

    Yes. The OceanTrade platform has a user-friendly interface that works perfectly on mobile devices. The platform is also optimized for touch and scroll functionalities to provide the ultimate mobile trading experience.

  •  How do I recover my lost password?

    Simply go to the login section and click on ‘forgot password’. You will receive instructions via email on how to reset your password. You can also contact customer support to help you in this regard.

  • Can I change my leverage amount?

    Yes. Simply send an email to your account manager with the relevant details and they will assist in getting the change made. It can take up to about 24 hours for the changes to take effect.

  • Can I run a demo account?

    Yes. OceanTrade gives you access to a fully functional demo account with practice funds. The demo account is identical to a live trading account and uses the same data sources.

  • How do I change my account type?

    Yes, you can upgrade your account type if you meet the criteria. To change your account type, please contact customer support or your account manager.

  • Does OceanTrade offer a sign-up bonus?

  •  What documents do I need to provide?

    In compliance with international anti-money laundering and KYC guidelines, OceanTrade is required to perform verification procedures for all its customers. The documents required to verify your account are proof of identity (POI) and proof of residence (POR). POI is a valid, government-issued document. This can be an identity card, passport or driver’s license. POR must not be older than 3 months and should clearly show the issuer, your name and address, as well as date of issue. This can be a utility bill, bank or credit card statement or a local authority tax bill.
